Policy & Terms

  • All clothing items consigned must be current styles, high quality and name brands only. Discount store clothing may not be accepted. Items must be in excellent condition, clean, and pressed. There will be times when items will not be selected to consign. Please understand that maximizing your profitability and our customer’s preferences will be the basis of our selection guidelines. Any items that are not selected to consign will be donated to a charity of The Drawer’s choice. Items offered with stains, tears, or in need of cleaning or pressing will be immediately donated.
  • All house ware and decorative items consigned must be clean and in working order.
  • We will consign furniture in good condition. Please call before delivering to confirm that The Drawer can accept this consignment.
  • The consigner attests that she/he owns all items presented for consignment or has been given authority for their resale. The consigner will receive 40% of the selling price.
  • Consigners wishing to make a purchase may make a settlement and apply this money towards store credit. The consigner will receive a 5% discount for using store credit. Any remaining money must be either cashed out via a settlement check or moved into store credit for future purchases.
  • Consigners wishing to cash out their settlement may request it at any time. The Drawer will make every attempt to issue a settlement check within 48 hours of the request. If a check can not be issued at the time of the request, the consigner may return within 48 hours or The Drawer will mail it free of charge. Consigners who live out of town or can not make it into the store for their settlement can request a check to me mailed to them for a 60 cent charge to cover postage and handling. This fee will be deducted from your check.
  • The price on the item will be set by The Drawer staff. Items will remain on display at The Drawer for at least 90 days. At the end of the 90 days, items that did not sell will become property of The Drawer and will be donated to a charity of the store’s choice, moved to a discount rack, or stored for future promotions.
  • The Drawer reserves the right to run store wide promotions, reducing the selling prices at various times of the season to help promote business.
  • The consigner waives any legal claim against The Drawer for damage to items or for loss from theft.
  • Please be advised that you will not be contacted before items are donated. This will range from the initial selection process to the end of the consignment period. The Drawer can not guarantee consigned items will be available for return nor can The Drawer employees spend time locating items on the floor that consigners wish back.
  • Terms of the agreement shall be strictly enforced.
